Same Day Surgery Center

Queen's Same Day Surgery Center is the wave of the future in health care; a progressive way to deliver quality health care to well patients. The Center brings together the most advanced medical technology and a healing environment, for a holistic health experience. Today about 70% of surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis. The average length of stay from entrance to exit is just under four hours. Children under the age of one cannot utilize Queen's Same Day Surgery Center.

Many types of procedures can be performed at the Queen's Same Day Surgery Center. Cataract removal, hand, joint and shoulder repair, breast biopsies and hernia repair are just a few. Shortly after a procedure, the essentially well patients who come to the Same Day Surgery are sent home, where healing best takes place.
