The Queen's Health Systems CEO Nominated for National Honor

HONOLULU – The Queen’s Health Systems president and CEO, Jill Hoggard Green, PhD, RN, is among 150 healthcare executives vying for the honor to be named one of the 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives by Modern Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare business news and intelligence. The awards program recognizes individuals in healthcare whom their peers deemed to be paving the way to better health through their executive responsibility, leadership qualities, innovation, community service and achievements inside and outside their respective organizations. The final ranking of the 50 Most Influential is based on readers’ votes as well as input from senior editors of the publication.

Dr. Hoggard Green is the only Hawai‘i health care executive nominated for the award this year. Past honorees of this award include Dr. Jerome Adams, U.S. surgeon general, and Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, among other notable industry leaders.

Dr. Hoggard Green is a nationally recognized and highly respected healthcare leader with nearly 40 years of experience. Since assuming the role of president and chief executive officer in September 2019, Dr. Hoggard Green’s leadership allowed The Queen’s Health Systems to successfully weather the pandemic’s challenges and enable the organization to grow. Most notably, she improved Hawai‘i’s infectious disease and disaster response preparedness with The Queen’s Medical Center’s Advanced Respiratory and Emerging Infectious Disease Unit and established an agreement with the University of Hawaiʻi John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) and University Health Partners of Hawaiʻi (UHP) that further positions The Queen’s Health Systems.
