Walk-With-a-Doc from North Hawaii Community Hospital

Learn about a health topic from one of our physicians and join others for a healthy walk! Dr. Natalie Kehau Kong, a primary care physician at North Hawaii Community Hospital, leads a weekly walk with a brief talk on a current health issue facing our community. This initiative has been adapted from the worldwide “Walk-With-A-Doc” program to encourage physical activity among people of all ages. Walk-With-A-Doc has been in place since 2005 and has over 300 chapters worldwide including three in Hawaii. Walkers are asked to check with their primary care provider before walking if there are health concerns.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Walks will be held regardless of weather, so you may also want to bring an umbrella.

Walks occur every Saturday at 8:00 am. No registration required. Please meet at the Pukalani Stables parking lot at the Paniolo Heritage Center in Waimea.

For questions, please call Liana Honda at North Hawaii Community Hospital at 808-881-4432 or email LiHonda@queens.org.
