Dr. Anthony L. Michaud is a Radiation Oncologist with The Queen’s Medical Center's Department of Radiation Oncology. He has been trained in all disease sites, though his primary focus is in lung, gastrointestinal, sarcoma, and skin cancers. His secondary focus is Gynecologic, and Head and Neck cancer. Dr. Michaud has several peer-reviewed publications and presentations and is affiliated with American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.

Prior to his medical training, Dr. Michaud obtained Masters, and PhD degrees in chemistry from Cornell University. He also worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of British Columbia, and later as an assistant research scientist at Arizona State University’s School of Earth and Space Exploration.

He was drawn to medicine through his exposure via his wife, who is also a physician. His love of people, life, and for understanding the human experience, combined with his technical background in physical sciences, have made radiation oncology a natural fit for him. His goal in visiting with patients is not only to provide excellent care, but also excellent communication. Understanding cancer and its treatment can be very difficult, and he makes it a point to empower and educate patients regarding their illness, options, and future goals of care.
