The Queen’s Orthopedic Institute provides comprehensive orthopedic treatment of all bone and joint conditions, including specialization with Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement.

About Us

The Orthopedic Institute at The Queen’s Medical Center is an integrated program providing high quality medical and surgical care.  Our program delivers comprehensive and individualized care to every patient. The Orthopedic Institute offers comprehensive care including:

  • Access to Queen’s specialty services
  • Dedicated orthopedic rooms
  • Fellowship trained orthopedic surgeons
  • Minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures for joint tendon and nerve
  • Pet therapy
  • Pre-operative classes that are taught by a nurse and therapist for patients undergoing hip and knee joint replacement surgery or spinal surgery
  • Preventive injury education
  • Referral and follow up to manage a plan of care for a successful recovery
  • Specialized physical therapy and occupational therapy

The Queen’s Medical Center’s interdisciplinary approach brings together different types of specialists to treat various orthopedic-related disorders and injuries. The Orthopedic Institute uses the expertise of orthopedic surgeons, hospitalist and pain specialists, anesthesiologists, residents, orthopedic nurses, physical and occupational therapists, advanced practice nurses, case managers, social workers and nurse’s aides. This comprehensive and personalized model of treatment provides a complete approach to patient- and family-centered care.
