Following approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), The Queen’s Health System (Queen’s) held a soft launch of its vaccination efforts today for those 6 months – 4 years old.

Vaccination locations and details on how to make an appointment will be announced shortly.
Queen’s Outpatient Pharmacy Director Gavin Sanjume brought his children, Trevin and Grayson, ages 1 and 3 respectively, to get vaccinated at Queen’s Medicine Pediatrics Clinic located in Physicians Office Building 3 at The Queen’s Medical Center. The Queen’s Health System Clinical Chief of Pediatrics, Dr. Nadine Tenn Salle administered the vaccine.
“Being a pharmacist, I know the protection vaccinations provide and I am confident that as a parent, I am making the best decision I can for my children and my family,” said Sanjume.
“This marks yet another step forward in protecting our community against the potentially devastating effects of COVID-19,” said Jill Hoggard Green, PhD, RN, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Queen’s Health System. “Parents have been waiting for this moment for a long time and we are pleased to be able to play a part in keeping our youngest keiki safe and healthy.” For more information, visit covid.queens.org/vaccine.
