The Dental Clinic at The Queen's Medical Center provides care to outpatients, inpatients and patients with special health care needs or serious health problems or those with disabilities who need to be treated in a hospital setting.

Dental Residency Program

The Queen’s Medical Center’s Dental Clinic is the only hospital-based General Practice Residency Program in Hawaii. The year-long, post-graduate dental education program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association and is a highly sought after appointment by dental graduates from around the world. The Dental Clinic is home to a highly acclaimed, post-graduate Dental Residency program that offers a unique opportunity for new dentists to learn specialized patient care, clinical and patient management skills in a hospital setting. Residents rotate through a variety of services including general medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, oncology and emergency medicine with advanced training and clinical experience in preventive dentistry, periodontics, restorative dentistry, endodontics and oral surgery.

Dental Residency Application

The year-long residency program only offers a limited number of positions for post-graduate work in an urban hospital setting. Applicants are chosen in the Fall for a one year term which begins the following July. To apply, download form below.
