At The Queen’s Medical Center, our attending physicians, or Hospitalists, are doctors who focus solely on the care of patients admitted to the hospital. Hospitalists are experts in patient safety and provide high-quality care. They are board certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice doctors and do not see outpatients in private practice. Your primary care physician (PCP) is often at the center of your care outside of the hospital, whereas hospitalists are the center of your care while hospitalized.

Our Team

When you are admitted, a hospitalist will be your attending physician. Your hospitalist will be in contact with your primary care physician (PCP) and works closely with any specialists, consulting physicians, case managers, social workers or other medical providers who may be involved in your care. Our hospitalists lead the care team to ensure that you receive the highest quality hospital care at The Queen’s Medical Center.
