Pathology and Molecular Diagnostics

The Queen’s Medical Center’s Pathology and Molecular Diagnostics department is the largest in the state and provides services in surgical pathology, cytopathology, autopsy, histopathology, hematopathology, and molecular diagnostics.

The Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory is responsible for performing and interpreting genetic tests related to cancer and the various treatments that may be available. We also provide genetic testing for commonly inherited diseases and pharmacogenetic testing.

The Pathology and Molecular Diagnostics team is comprised of over 70 staff members certified in various specialties and trained to provide high-quality work to ensure specimens are processed correctly to provide the best samples for analysis.
