Patients of the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center are evaluated to determine underlying conditions that might inhibit the natural healing process. Our multidisciplinary providers plan individualized treatments for our patients which maximize healing using proven methods and advanced technologies for wounds that are difficult to heal.

Patients also have direct access to hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized room or tube. This therapy is a well-established treatment for decompression sickness, a hazard of scuba diving.

Conditions we treat include:

  • Arterial ulcers
  • Bubbles of air in blood vessels
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Lower extremity cellulitis and edema
  • Neuropathic ulcers
  • Non-healing wounds resulting from:
    • Diabetes
    • Radiation treatments
    • Surgery
  • Osteoradionecrosis
  • Podiatry-related wounds
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Serious infections
  • Venous ulcers
  • Other chronic, non-healing wounds
