Patient Services and Amenities

The Queen’s Medical Center - West Oahu provides a range of patient services and amenities for your convenience, including educational resources for:

ATM

A Bank of Hawaii ATM is located in the hospital Lobby, Level I, across from the chapel.
 

Equipment for the Hearing and Speech Impaired

Queen's can help you obtain equipment for the hearing and speech-impaired, such as Text Telephones (TTY), amplified and speaker telephones and closed captioned devices. Please notify your nurse if you require assistance, or contact Patient Relations at 808-691-3120 for more information.    

Foreign Language and Sign Language Interpreters

Interpreters for patients are available in many foreign languages as well as in American sign language. If you would like to arrange for an interpreter in advance, Patient Relations will be glad to help you Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm at 808-691-3120.

Healing Touch & Reiki

Energy-based treatments that can positively affect physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and aid in the reduction of pain and enable relaxation. Sessions are provided by volunteers and are free of charge.      

Mail Service

Queen’s volunteers can help you to write letters and mail them. Stamps may be purchased at the Gift Shop in Queen's main lobby. Volunteers will also deliver any incoming mail from your friends. Mail that arrives at Queen’s-West Oahu after you leave will be forwarded to your home.

Mobile Library

Queen’s-West Oahu volunteers can bring a book cart to your bedside at your request so you may select a book or magazine to read. If a volunteer is available, reading service may also be provided.

Pet Therapy

The Queen’s Medical Center provides pet therapy to aid healing and provide comfort. Patients may arrange for a visit from a canine volunteer by asking their nurse.
