The Queen’s Medical Center takes part in emergency medical mission to Samoa amid measles outbreak

HONOLULU – The Queen’s Medical Center took part in an emergency medical mission to Samoa amid a severe outbreak of measles.  The mission was led by Lieutenant Governor Josh Green and included 50 nurses and 11 doctors from Queen’s.

The 48 hour medical mission resulted in more than 20,000 vaccinations.  Dr. Nadine Tenn Salle, Chief of Pediatrics, led Queen’s efforts.
