Queen’s Community Investment Program

We are excited to offer a new online application so organizations, like yours, will be able to conveniently submit funding requests.

Thank you for your interest in partnering with The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS) to help improve health and well-being for all the people of Hawai‘i.

Queen’s is pleased to award sponsorships and funding to nonprofit organizations working to strengthen healthcare in our local communities and improve the well-being of our state’s most vulnerable. In such a transformative time in healthcare, Queen’s must take a strategic approach to the many funding requests we receive throughout the year. Toward that goal, Queen’s focuses its funding on programs and events that align closely with our strategic initiatives and support our mission to improve the well-being of Native Hawaiians and all of the people of Hawai‘i.

Our Aspirational Goals

Queen’s boldly established two aspirational goals for the next decade, and we know that it will take more than traditional healthcare services to achieve these goals, which are:

  • To improve the health and well-being, and extend the life well-lived, of Native Hawaiians, addressing health inequities and closing the gap in life expectancy in half within 10 years.
  • To become a lifetime partner, improving the health and well-being of all those we serve.

QHS Key Strategies

Queen’s recognized the importance of strengthening our foundation and transforming our health system to meet the demands of the changing health care environment, achieve our aspirational goals, and fulfill our mission.

Toward that goal, we created six interrelated strategies (listed to the right) that will enable our teams of clinicians to provide culturally sensitive, high-quality, safe and compassionate care in a sustainable manner—where, when, and how our patients want it.

Strengthening Our Foundation

  • Be a truly great place to work and practice
  • Provide the highest quality safe, compassionate care – where, when, and how consumers want it
  • Increase value (quality and efficiency) to ensure a sustainable future

Transforming Our Health System

  • Improve the health of the community by elevating quality and reducing the total cost of care
  • Grow a clinically integrated regional network of care throughout Hawaiʻi
  • Make my community proud through innovation, research and education, and building the next generation of caregivers

Below are three guidelines of the Queen’s Community Investment Program.

1

Event or program’s focus should align with at least one QHS key strategy or priority identified from the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).

2

Requests will be limited to one per quarter, per organization.
