North Hawaii Community Hospital volunteers received stage makeup to simulate injuries as part of a disaster drill that tested the hospital’s ability to handle large numbers of patients at one time.
North Hawaii Community Hospital joined hospitals from throughout the state in Thursday’s RIMPAC (Rim of the Pacific) humanitarian assistance/disaster response exercise. This exercise is a statewide, community-based full scale exercise conducted for two days as a subset of the overall month-long US Navy RIMPAC 2018 exercise.
North Hawaii Community Hospital staff conducts regular drills to assure they are ready for any type of community disaster or emergency.
