A two day comprehensive and empowering childbirth preparation course designed to help expectant parents feel confident and supported as they approach their big day. Whether you’re a first-time parent or looking to refresh your knowledge, this class offers a blend of practical information and hands-on techniques to prepare you for labor, delivery, and the early days of parenthood.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Understanding Labor & Delivery: Learn about the stages of labor, how to recognize signs
    of early labor, and what to expect during each phase.
  • Breathing and Relaxation Techniques: Practice effective breathing methods, relaxation
    exercises, and comfort measures to help you manage pain and stay calm during labor.
  • Positions for Labor: Discover a variety of birthing positions that can help optimize
    comfort, support progress, and assist in delivery.
  • Common Interventions: Explore common medical interventions, including medical pain
    management options, fetal monitoring, and cesarean delivery (just in case!).
  • Partners in Labor: Tips for your birth partner on how to be supportive, hands-on, and
    involved in the labor and delivery process.
  • Postpartum Care: Practical advice for healing after birth.

Join us for a class that combines education with inspiration—preparing you for a confident, calm, and empowered birth experience!

Dates: This class meets twice, with the second class exactly one week after the first.
Location: Online via Zoom
Duration: Two 4 hour sessions (approximately 8 hours total)
Cost: $80 per couple (QHS employees $40)
