David Hope, MHSA, CMPE
President, Queen’s University Medical Group and Senior Vice President, The Queen’s Health Systems
David Hope is President of Queen’s University Medical Group (QUMG) and Senior Vice President of The Queen’s Health Systems (Queen’s).
Mr. Hope is responsible for overseeing more than 700 employed providers across our hospital campuses and ambulatory locations, and manages the professional service agreements that Queen’s has with community physicians. He also plays an integral role in our partnership with the University of Hawai‘i’s John A. Burns School of Medicine, supporting education and training for the next generation of health care professionals.
Mr. Hope is an experienced health care executive with an extensive background in strategic and operational planning. Prior to joining QUMG, he served as Vice President of Physician Services at Meritus Health in Hagerstown, Maryland. Before that, he spent nine years at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as Associate Vice President of Network Operations and Associate Vice President of Ambulatory Services.
A native of Arkansas, Mr. Hope earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, and his Master of Health Services Administration at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. His entire career has been focused on physician practice administration spanning private groups, regional health systems and a large, academic medical center.
