Dr. Samuel Tsappidi is a neurointerventionalist who specializes in minimally invasive cerebrovascular disorders such as stroke, brain aneurysms, vascular malformations of the brain and spine, head and neck, as well as atherosclerotic narrowing and blockage of brain and neck vessels.

With state-of-the-art technologies, he performs procedures utilizing tiny catheters into the brain and other blood vessels, with intent to occlude (aneurysms and vascular malformations) as well as reopen (narrow to freshly occluded vessels) these abnormal vessels, often times lifesaving, and avoiding major open surgeries.

Prior to working at The Queens's Medical Center, Dr. Tsappidi served as Associate Professor in Neurology, Neurosurgery and Radiology in Augusta Univeristy, Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery at University of Florida and Wayne State University.
Dr. Tsappidi's research interests include studying cerebral blood flow dynamics in aneurysms and narrowed blood vessels and multimodal monitoring of brain injury.

His interests off work include computers, music, sports, photography and travel.
