QHS Names Lilinoe Watanabe, Finance Director, QMC-Punchbowl; Eric Lockett, Finance Director, QMC-West Oʻahu; Yowanda Graham-Cortez, Ambulatory Services Director, Queen’s North Hawaiʻi Community Hospital

HONOLULU – The Queen’s Health System (Queen’s) has named three new directors.

Lilinoe Watanabe has been named Director of Finance for The Queen’s Medical Center – Punchbowl.

Watanabe coordinates all Finance activities (budgets, forecasts, capital), performs financial analysis, addresses inquiries, identifies financial opportunities and implements financial initiatives for the QMC-Punchbowl campus.

Prior to joining Queen’s, Watanabe worked in financial and operational leadership positions at Kapi‘olani Medical Center, Pali Momi Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente. She also served as Chief Financial Officer during the construction and start-up of North Hawai‘i Community Hospital. During a span of 20 years at Queen’s, she has held a variety of leadership positions in Surgical Services, IT and Finance. She most recently held the position of Director, Decision Support and Analytics.

Watanabe graduated from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration.

Eric Lockett has been named Director of Finance for The Queen’s Medical Center – West Oʻahu.

Lockett is responsible for coordinating all Finance activities (budgets, forecasts, capital), performing financial analysis, addressing inquiries, identifying financial opportunities and implementing financial initiatives for the QMC-West Oʻahu campus.

Lockett joined Queen’s in 2016 as a Financial Planning Analyst and was promoted in 2018 to Manager for Business Analytics. Prior to Queen’s, the Dallas, Texas native worked as an auditor for a public accounting firm in Dallas, where he was responsible for auditing financial statements for health care organizations.

Yowanda Graham-Cortez has been named Director of Ambulatory Services for Queen’s North Hawaiʻi Community Hospital.

In this role, Graham-Cortez will direct and oversee ambulatory operations, including programs, functions, services and activities. She will ensure services meet established quality, safety and outcome standards, and will be accountable for maintaining fiscal integrity and control.

Graham-Cortez previously worked as the Associate Director of Operations at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Davie Medical Center in Bermuda Run, North Carolina. While there, she was accountable for operational efficiency, developing programs to grow new business, compliance, safety and patient satisfaction within ambulatory services, ancillary services and other departments in the hospital.

Graham-Cortez was born in North Carolina and raised in Connecticut. She lived on Oʻahu for 10 years and considers Hawaiʻi home.
