QNHCH Welcomes New Pediatrician Dr. Daisy Cortes

Dr. Daisy Cortes

Pediatrician Daisy Cortes, MD, has joined the team at Queen’s North Hawai’i Community Hospital. Dr. Cortes earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, completed her residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and completed a fellowship in pediatric oncology and hematology at UC Irvine-CHOC. Dr. Cortes is a board-certified general pediatrician with numerous years of experience in both general pediatrics as well as pediatric hematology and oncology, practicing in both California and Nevada.

Dr. Cortes is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Society of Hematology, the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis, and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

Dr. Cortes sees patients at the Queen’s North Hawai’i Community Hospital Primary Care Clinic, located 65-1267 Kawaihae Rd. in Waimea, next to Long’s.  For appointments with Dr. Cortes or any other Queen’s North Hawai’i Community Hospital provider, call 887-CARE.
