Queen Emma Clinics

In 1947, Queen Emma Clinics, a division of The Queen’s Medical Center, was founded to provide general outpatient healthcare and specialized medical services for anyone who was unable to pay for care. Today, about 10 percent of the Queen Emma Clinics’ patients have commercial insurance, but most are covered under the state’s Med-Quest program, Medicare, Medicaid, or are uninsured.

If you or a family member come to us for care, you will warmly be welcomed into our ‘ohana, regardless of your ability to pay. It’s all part of our ongoing mission at The Queen’s Medical Center to fulfill the intent of Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV to provide in perpetuity quality health care services to improve the well-being of Native Hawaiians and all of the people of Hawai’i. Our tradition of caring is modeled after the selfless giving of our founders.

Learn About Our Team

When you visit the Queen Emma Clinics, it’s likely that your doctor will be associated with the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) since we are a major clinical training site for its students and residents. The majority of our staff includes resident physicians who are licensed doctors receiving specialized training. They are supervised by attending physicians who provide additional care for those requiring highly-specialized medical attention. Other members of the Queen Emma Clinics team include:
