General Surgery

Queen’s North Hawai‘i Community Hospital has a team of experienced and skilled surgeons supported by a technologically advanced operating room and surgical staff.  Operating rooms can also be connected virtually to The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu for consultation, if needed.

Queen’s North Hawai‘i Community Hospital’s surgeons specialize in general surgery of the abdomen, skin, breast, soft tissues, and endocrine system, as well as esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and bile ducts, among other organs.

Surgical Services

Minimally invasive surgery is available for several procedures and we provide surgical services to patients of all ages. Our experienced and dedicated surgeons, registered nurses and other health professionals handle a range of surgical procedures for conditions including:

  • Abscesses
  • Appendix removal
  • Breast masses
  • Excisions or wide excisions including: cysts, lesions, nevus, soft tissue tumors, granulomas, masses, skin cancers, etc.
  • Fistula
  • Foreign body
  • Gallbladder or gallstones
  • Ganglions cysts (no fingers or toes)
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Hemorrhoid banding
  • Hernias
  • Incisions or drainage
  • Skin grafts
  • Thyroid nodules
