VISITOR POLICY REMINDER FOR PUNCHBOWL, WEST OAHU, MOLOKAI GENERAL, AND NORTH HAWAII COMMUNITY HOSPITAL:

*Only 1 visitor per patient.  Exceptions do apply.

Updated March 19, 2020:

We are taking precautions to ensure the health and safety of our patients, visitors, and caregivers.  Effective March 16 we will limit hospital access, and adjust visiting hours and rules to decrease potential exposure to COVID-19.

The following visitor restrictions are in place at Queen's North Hawaii Community Hospital:

  • 1 visitor per patient allowed in the hospital
  • No children under age 12 allowed in the hospital unless receiving care
  • No visitors allowed with a temperature unless receiving care

Temperature screening will begin on Monday, March 16 for all employees, physicians, and visitors.  All employees, physicians, and visitors will need to use the front lobby to enter the hospital between 5:00 a.m.-8:30 p.m. to get their temperature checked and will be given a sticker each day.  After 8:30 p.m., employees, physicians, and visitors will need to enter and get their temperature checked through the emergency department.

Drive-up testing at Queen’s North Hawai’i Community Hospital (QNHCH) will be relocated to a more convenient location starting Thursday, March 19, and testing will be expanded to 6 days a week – Monday through Saturday, 10 am – 2 pm. The new location is at the QNHCH Primary Care Clinic, 65-1267 Kawaihae Rd., located next to Longs Drugs in Waimea.

Physician’s orders are not required. Patients are asked to bring ID and insurance information, and to stay in their vehicle; testing takes only a few minutes and is done while the patient stays in the vehicle.
