Pulmonary Hypertension Program

Who We Are

The Queen’s Pulmonary Hypertension Program started in 2010 and is the only such program in the state of Hawaii. Our lung specialists provide expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of all patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH). PH is a condition in which the pressure in the lungs is high, leading to stress/failure of the right side of the heart. PH has several possible causes and our team performs a thorough, timely evaluation to determine the cause as well as develop the best treatment plan. We work closely with other Queen’s specialists such as cardiology, radiology and rheumatology to provide a multidisciplinary approach to PH care.
