Surgical Oncology at The Queen's Medical Center

Surgical Oncology is often involved in cancer treatment, where a portion of the tumor is removed and a specimen is obtained for diagnosis. We provide surgical procedures for all types of cancer.

Our techniques include:

  • Minimally invasive surgery: This type of surgery involves smaller incisions than traditional surgery, and often is a more precise procedure that results in easier recovery. Laparoscopic surgery and robotic-assisted surgery are two types of minimally invasive surgery.
  • Complex procedures: We work with other specialists, such as pulmonary (lung) experts, cardiologists and gastroenterologists to ensure a safe, effective procedure.
  • Advanced technology: We use advanced treatment technology to help you have a full life after your treatments are completed.
