Supporting Hawaii’s Health with Cancer Screening and Early Detection

From preliminary genetic tests to advanced cancer screenings, The Queen’s Medical Center supports preventive health in Hawaii. Through our community-based cancer prevention programs and screenings, the oncology specialists at Queen’s Cancer Center are able to diagnose and treat cancer patients more quickly, leading to improved outcomes.

High Risk Clinic 

This clinic is specifically designed to evaluate and care for patients who are at high risk for developing cancer due to a strong family history of cancer or other factors contributing to risk. 

Hereditary Clinic

We care for patients and their families with genetic mutations linked to hereditary cancers. This clinic is suited for patients diagnosed with Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Syndrome, Lynch Syndrome, or other hereditary cancer syndromes.

High Risk and Hereditary Clinic

From risk assessments to physical examinations and risk reduction strategies, The Queen’s Cancer Center provides quality and complete care to those who are at high risk for cancer. Who is at High Risk for Cancer? Patients with any of following: 

  • Personal or family history of cancer 
  • Known hereditary gene mutation 
  • Personal or family history of polyps 
  • A biopsy revealing abnormal cells (conditions like atypical hyperplasia or lobular carcinoma in-situ) could be at high risk for cancer. 

Cancer Prevention Programs We offer comprehensive programs with a personalized approach to each patient. Our programs include:

  • Consultation for lifestyle modification 
  • Genetic counseling and testing
  • Education about clinical trials in cancer prevention 
  • Education on screening strategies
  • Nutrition education
  • And more.
