Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in an evidence-based treatment for a variety of mental health conditions. The goal is to decrease unwanted behavior(s) stemming from current problems and past issues and empower you with the skills to thrive in life.
- Skills Training - Weekly 1-hour group sessions learning and practicing skills in mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation.
- Individual Therapy - Weekly individual sessions with your primary therapist where you will work to identify, review, practice, and apply DBT skills in daily life and monitor your progress.
- Case Consultation - DBT trained therapists consult weekly, and as needed, to monitor compliance, problem solve, and address clinical issues.
The DBT Program at the Queen’s Counseling Services offers a safe environment to build skills that can make a positive impact on your life. Our groups are small and all care is individualized to your needs by our dedicated team.
