Life Enrichment Program

The Life Enrichment Program, part of Behavioral Health services at The Queen’s Medical Center, provides treatment five days a week and several Saturdays per month, with the primary focus of relapse prevention for patients with severe mental illness. This partial hospitalization program focuses on crisis stabilization, effective symptom and medication management, and skill-building to prevent inpatient admissions. The program offers group therapy and activities to increase insight into illness and improve daily living and social skills for reintegration into the community. Patients who are dually diagnosed will participate in group therapy to encourage clean and sober living. Transportation to and from the program is provided, as clinically indicated. A patient’s length of stay within the program is typically 8-16 weeks. Lunches are included with daily treatment sessions.
